the last week of the nfl -- i'm not doing my normal color scheme just giving the score and a brief reason for the pick
Steelers (+6) 27 Bengals 24....the bengals will have a bad snap to end the game and the steelers will reign supreme again next year
Detroit (+12.5) 17 Dallas 27 ... Dallas will win just not by 12.5
Houston (-5) 28 Cleveland 13 ... derek anderson should not be a starter and neither should be charles frye
Kansas City (+2.5) 20 Jags 17 ... Jags would have been scary in the playoffs but their not making it and not winning in arrowhead.
St. Lou (-3) 28 Vikings 17 ... Bulger is the man not Tavaris
Saints (-3) 24 Panthers 20 ... Saints will end the season with a win
Jets (-11.5) 24 Raiders 10 ... Raider fans will be happy the year is over and will be ordering their brady quinn jerseys
Seattle (+3) 27 bucs 16 ... bucs are better but not gonna beat seattle's backups
New England (+3) 28 Tenn 13 ... Young finally has a bad day
Buffalo (+9.5) 17 Ravens 24 .. Baltimore will win but buffalo will score a late td to cover
Indy (-9) 31 Miami 17 ... peyton will have a field day
Atlanta (+8.5) 20 Eagles 23 .. vick needs to change positions and the EAGLES are better than the cowgirls haha
San Francisco (+10) 20 Denver 23 .. I hate cutler and hope the niners pull off the win
Zona (+14.5) 24 Chargers 21 .. what an upset
Green bay (+3) 35 bears 0 .. Favre for president

saturdays action
MEINEKE CAR CARE BOWL
NAVY (+7) v. BOSTON COLLEGE 47
Navy hasn't beat a single good team all year and they have lost by at least 17 against those teams. Boston College in an easy one
navy 13 BOSTON COLLEGE 31 UNDER
ALAMO BOWL
IOWA (+9) v. TEXAS 53.5
This is an interesting matchup as texas has been stumbling and Iowa has underachieved all year. I think drew tate will keep this one close.
IOWA 20 texas 24 UNDER
PEACH BOWL
VIRGINIA TECH (-3) v. GEORGIA 37.5
you will see the best defense in the country in virginia tech go up against a freshman qb. I know GA has had some big wins to end the year but not against VT.
VIRGINIA TECH 27 georgia 17 OVER
NFL
GIANTS (-2.5) v. REDSKINS 42.5
the giants have too much talent not to beat the skins. TIKI 127 yards 2 scores.
GIANTS 28 skins 20 OVER

FRIDAYS ACTION
I finally lost some games, 2 in fact, but hey I didn't plan on being 10-2 at this point anyway so I'll take it.
MUSIC CITY BOWL
KENTUCKY (+10) v. CLEMSON 57.5
Kentucky has some impressive wins but they give up over 150 yards a game on the ground and thats all Clemson does (run run run) and clemson is filled with stars on Defense. This should be a laugher.
kentucky 17 CLEMSON 35 UNDER
SUN BOWL
MISSORUI (+3.5) v. #25 OREGON STATE 52.5
mizzou is an up and down team this year while oregon state has looked impressive ever since their USC victory. You can go wrong when going with the Beavers.
missouri 24 OREGON STATE 35 OVER
LIBERTY BOWL
HOUSTON (+5.5) v. SOUTH CAROLINA 56
The ole ball coach will have something fun up his sleeve for this game. Houston like a&m was only 8 points away from going undefeated but like A&M will lose in the bowl game.
houston 20 SOUTH CAROLINA 31
INSIGHT.COM BOWL
MINNESOTA (+7) v. TEXAS TECH 65.5
This is an interesting matchup and wouldn't be surprised if the gophers get blown out nor would I be surprised if minnesota won. I'm going w/ TT for now.
minnesota 27 TEXAS TECH 35 UNDER
CHAMPS SPORTS BOWL
PURDUE (-1) v. MARYLAND 53.5
The terps struggled to end the year as did the boilermakers. I'm thinking the terps defense will be enough to win a tight one.
purdue 27 MARYLAND 28 OVER

Bowls 12/26 -12/28
welp. so far so good in the bowl games 7-0 in games and 5-2 in over / unders ... i'll probably end up 7-25 but hey its been fun so far....
Tuesday 12/26
MIDDLE TN ST (+7.5) v. CENTRAL MICHIGAN (51 OVER / UNDER)
The chippewas have played a much tougher schedule than MD TN ST and it should benefit their explosive freshman QB. Central Michigan scores at will today.
mid tn st 17 CENTRAL MICHIGAN 31 UNDER
Wednesday 12/27
UCLA (-3) v. FLORIDA STATE (39 OVER / UNDER)
UCLA may have had the biggest win of the year in ending USC's title hopes and boy did they look good on Defense. The problem for the bruins is that FSU's defense is just as good if not better and FSU with Drew Weatherford has a better offense. UCLA is like a 1980's rock band that had a 1 hit wonder (USC).
I hate FSU but they will win.
ucla 17 FSU 23 OVER
Thursday 12/28
OKLAHOMA ST (-2) v. ALABAMA (51 OVER / UNDER)
Oklahoma St has a much much much better offense and the nation of alabama football is in a state of shock with no one wanting to coach down there. All the signs point to picking ok st but my mom got a tide pen in her stocking and I think santa was trying to tell me something. Roll Tide
ok state 23 ALABAMA 24 UNDER
KANSAS ST (+7) v. #20 RUTGERS (45 OVER / UNDER)
Rutgers will come out running and K st struggles against the run. It was a nice year for the scarlet knights and they will end it on a big win against a tough kst team.
k st 17 RUTGERS 27 UNDER
#19 TEXAS A&M (+4) v. #22 CALIFORNIA (53 OVER / UNDER)
texas a&m just crushed texas while Cal struggled against a one win stanford team. A&M is only 6 points away from being undefeated and are a very very good team.
TEXAS A&M 28 cal 21 UNDER

NFL week 15
I'm trying something new and going to do my picks in order from least confident to most confident......good luck to all and MERRY CHRISTMAS
The pats are for real and Tom Brady is going to have a nice day passing against the Jags. My picks obviously have some bias i.e. eagles over the cowgirls but hey there are getting 7 so they can cover....... onto week(end) of week 15
15. EAGLES (+7) @ COWBOYS
I'm surprised we haven't heard a T.O. suicide attempt in dallas as he was left off the Pro Bowl roster. Hey T.O. that's what happens when you LEAD the league in dropped passes. He is like Adam Dunn hits a lot of homeruns but strikes out way too often. Jeff Garcia looks like he is back in San Fran and the eagles D is coming alive at the right time.
EAGLES 20 cowboys 17
14. JETS (+2.5) @ DOLPHINS
j-e-t-s jets jets jets will find a way to lose in Miami. The dolphins D is unbelievable, but they don't have an offense....what a boring xmas game.
JETS 16 dolphins 17
13. TITANS (+4.5) @ BILLS
The titans have put together a nice string of victories but I'm still not a believer but I do believe in the bills D and Lee Evans going deep. The titans will keep it close to cover but this time VY will not get it done.
TITANS 13 bills 17
12. CARDINALS (+4) 49ERS
Frank Gore has played beyond expectations and so has Matty Leinart. But even more impressively is how well the 49ers Defense has played throughout the year. The 49ers Alex Smith is getting better week by week and will hit Vernon Davis from 12 yards out with 19 seconds left to win this game.
CARDINALS 21 49ers 24
11. CHARGERS (-4.5) @ SEAHAWKS
Seahawks are doing their best to not make the playoffs but a miserable forecast in Seattle could be what the doctor ordered. They will do a lot of running in the 1st half to set up play action and attack a young chargers secondary. They won't lose at home as they will stack the line and hold LT to ONLY 118.
chargers 24 SEAHAWKS 27
10. BENGALS (+3) @ BRONCOS
Chalk me up as a non-J Cutler believer. I just don't see him being able to beat a Bengals team fighting for its playoff life. Unless of course the possible Palmer injuries are true then I would definitely take Denver but until then Bengals will roll into over and out of Denver.
BENGALS 27 broncos 16
9. SAINTS (+3) @ GIANTS
Not sure if anyone can figure out these giants other than they have had way too many injuries this year. And how bout the saints losing to the skins. hmm.. Eli plays like big bro in this one.
saints 20 GIANTS 31
8. RAVENS (+3.5) @ STEELERS (((I'LL BE AT THIS GAME)))
The steels got embarrassed in bmore, but have been on fire ever since. McNair is hurt and the ravens will have trouble running the ball with Polamalu coming back to help with the run. The steelers will win this game as they always split w/ the ravens and big ben will be protected (no more than 2 sacks).
ravens 13 STEELERS 20
7. PANTHERS (+6.5) @ FALCONS
The panthers v. dolphins in the superbowl? come on SportsIllustrated. I love their website but i stopped reading the magazine b/c of craziness like this. I at least had a team that will be in the playoff Colts v. Giants. Vick I hope you leave hot lanta so Matt Schaub can start. And weinke your not good.
panthers 17 FALCONS 24
6. BEARS (-5.5) @ LIONS
Rex has played better lately and the lions have a suspect pass Defense. I'm still baffled as to how Detroit's offense has played throughout the year but they will have to pass a lot and Chicago will light up Kitna like a christmas tree.
BEARS 27 lions 17
5. BUCCANEERS (+4) @ BROWNS
After this game bucs fans will be wondering why tim rattay didn't start sooner and will forget about chris simms. Rattay threw for 3 tds against da bears last week and we will see a glimpse of the old buc D against Jason Wright and Derek Anderson. Who are they you say. Cleveland's starting RB and QB.
BUCS 20 browns 10
4. COLTS (-9) @ TEXANS
The only bright spots for the Texans are Andre Johnson and Demeco Ryans. The colts have a bright spot in every position will be a good game for fantasy players with Colt players....look for Ricky Proehl to have a TD
COLTS 35 texans 13
3. PATRIOTS (+3.5) @ JAGUARS
Fred Taylor is out for the year and David Gerrard has seemed to be out for the year. Maurice Jones-Drew has been a stud but he is banged up as well. Tom Brady is newly single and will continue an impressive drive toward the playoffs and will clinch the AFC east.
PATS 20 jags 13
2. CHIEFS (-7) @ RAIDERS
F'ing NFL network. You make me go to a bar to watch the game which is a) too smoky and b) can get expensive. But thats ok since this will only be a game until LJ's second touchdown. The Raiders pass D is unbelievable but the chiefs don't pass they run and LJ will come close to 200 yards and 3 tds.
CHIEFS 28 radiers 13
1. REDSKINS (+2) @ RAMS
The rams are for real too bad they bad a lot of mediocre games in the middle of the season. Bulger - Jackson - Holt - Bruce are all offensive powerhouses and on the turf they shine. The skins played well against the saints but hey even a broken clock is right twice a day.
skins 13 RAMS 34

NFL Thursday Night Game
Tonight's game in the NFL features good ole Brett Favre v. Tarvaris Jackson at Lambeau Field.

Favre will be on fire. GO PACK.

Bowl Game up until XMAS
part II of the bowl season will cover all games up til Xmas.
12/21/06
LAS VEGAS BOWL
OREGON (+3) v. #21 BYU O/U 62
The first good matchup of the bowl season. BYU is a better team. Jim McMahon would be proud.
oregon 24 BYU 31 UNDER
12/22/06
NEW ORLEANS BOWL
RICE (-4.5) v. TROY O/U 53
I've been going w/ Troy all year and since rice lost by 45 to FSU and Troy only lost by 7, i might as well stick with it.
rice 28 TROY 27 OVER
PAPA JOHNS BOWL
SOUTH FLORIDA (-5) v. ECU O/U 43
The pizza bowl, should be a competitive game but So. Fla. has a lot of talent and should beat the pirates.
SO FLA 27 ecu 17 OVER
12/23/06
NEW MEXICO BOWL
NEW MEXICO (-3.5) v. SAN JOSE STATE O/U 48.5
New Mexico has the advantage of playing at home but San Jose St is the cinderalla of 2006 (along w/ WF) so I'll go w/ Jeffrey Garcia's alma mater.
new mexico 14 SAN JOSE ST 28 UNDER
ARMED FORCES BOWL
TULSA (+1) v. UTAH O/U 49.5
These teams seem very similiar on paper but if you look who they actually plaeyd the Utes had a much tougher schedule and it will show.
tulsa 24 UTAH 34 OVER
12/24/06
HAWAII BOWL
ARIZONA STATE (+6.5) v. HAWAII O/U 73.5
The rainbows are at home and will be scoring at will. This is my pre xmas TOP PICK. Hawaii has too much fire power.
arizona state 27 HAWAII 45 UNDER

Bowl Season Begins Tonight
POINT SET AHHH BOWL rankings for teams are MY RANKINGS
I just love the names of some of these bowl games----too bad they weren't sponsoring the playoffs which would be unbelievable. Division IAA (called something different now) just had a 32 team playoff system w/ no problems 2 teams play 15 games 4 play 14 8 play 13 16 play 12 and 32 play 11 ----- ITS DOABLE
anyway I'm just going to pick the first game for now but I will have a simulated 32 playoff system just for fun later on.
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS 7-5 (+12.5) @ #18 TCU 10-2 O/U 47
TCU is the better team which should be obvious by the records and spread, but after having a few weeks off its hard to tell how a team will come out and play. So. Ill likes to run run run w/ Garrett Wolfe but the Horned Frogs (great name) make their living stopping the run giving up only 60 some odd yards a game. TCU should win this one easily. Key word being should.
So. Ill 17 TCU 31 over 48

WEEK 15 - thursdays game only
Well I am going on about 5 hours sleep this week and my picks could get crazy
For now, I'm only picking the Thursday Night game will do the rest either later tonight or tomorrow due to time constraints.
49ERS (+10.5) @ SEATTLE
Both of these teams games they should have won last week, but Seattle is pretty much a sure thing at home against the niners, who always play them close but rarely ever win in Washington.
Look for Gore to get the ball often as Alex Smith as been struggling and Alexander will continue to progress as the Hawks head into the Playoffs.
49ers 17 Seahawks 23

NFL WEEK 14
WEEK 14 is upon us and I am smack dap in the middle of my finals so I'll get right to the picks
BROWNS (+7) @ PICKSBURG
The Steelers are without half of their team but with Derek Anderson starting for the Browns I don't see them hitting double digits and make Willie can get back on track for the Burgh.
Cleveland 9 STEELERS 24
BALTIMORE (+3) @ KANSAS CITY
If Kansas City can find some sort of defense then I think they will beat the Ravens. I don't know if they can stop anyone after their poor performance against Derek Anderson.
BALTIMORE 23 kansas city 17
ATLANTA (-3) @ TAMPA BAY
I now hate Tampa Bay, who the hell gets a field gaol with 10 seconds left so they don't get shutout. What they didn't want their feelings hurt by getting shut out 2 weeks in a row. They are horrible.
ATLANTA 28 tampa 0
MINNESOTA (+1.5) @ DETROIT top 3 pick
There is a good chance Tavaris Jackson will be making his first career start against the Lions, who look fairly good last week in New England. Thats enough for me
vikings 14 DETROIT 24
TENNESSEE (+1.5) @ HOUSTON
While I think the texans have better players David Carr only threw for 40 som odd yards agains the raiderzzz; however ron dayne looked good running the ball. I'll take the points and watch vince do his thing. Rod Bironas to hit a 66 yarder to win and set a new NFL record.
TITANS 20 texans 17
GIANTS (NO LINE) @ PANTHERS
It looks like Chris Weinke may get the call for the panthers and who knows maybe thats the spart they need but I'm going to stick with my Giants since I predicted an all Manning Super Bowl this year. come on Eli get your sh$t together.
GIANTS 27 panthers 13
INDIANAPOLIS (-2) @ JACKSONVILLE top 3 pick
Indy has lost 2 games this year and both times Petyon has played poorly. Peyton never plays bad back to back and look for them to go deep attacking the Jags aggressive secondary.
COLTS 27 jags 17
PHILADELPHIA (-2) @ WASHINGTON
I just don't think the combination of Jason "soup" Campbell and Ladell "I like big" Betts can overcome the savy veteran Garcia and Westbrook. And with every week, I'm still waiting for the Eagles defense to show up.
Eagles 17 skins 10
OAKLAND (+11) @ CINCY
Sorry you had to waste a good defense year Oakland, but your entire offense inlcuding your kicker is horrendous and Cinncy is must be butta cuz they are on a r-o-l-l.
oakland 9 CINNCY 31
NEW ENGLAND (-3.5) @ MIAMI top 3 pick
Miami blew their playoff hopes last week against the Jags and I think they will be dragging their feet in this game, while the Pats are still playing for home field advantage.
PATS 24 fins 17
GREEN BAY (+4.5) @ SANTA CLARA
I'm proud of the way the 49ers have played this year, the one thing w/ the pack attack is you never know when Favre and Green might show up and dominate. Too bad the Packers D is horrendous and Favre it's time to hang it up big guy.
packers 20 49ERS 27
SEATTLE (-3) @ ARIZONA
Call me crazy but right now Seattle is looking like the best in the NFC. Alexander and Hasselback should have a great game against the cards and seattle's secondary will step it up to cover boldin and fitz.
HAWKS 28 cards 20
BUFFALO (+4) @ JETS
JETS looked good at lambeau last week and I think they will continue their march this week.
BILLS 21 jets 24
DENVER (+7.5) @ CHARGERS
why did you bench Plummer for Cutler? I have no idea, yea jake is up and down but at this point in time he's your only hope.
denver 14 whale's vagina 24
N'OR LEANS (+6.5) @ COWGIRLS
Romo had a lot of bad passes last week, but he does remind somewhat of troy aikman who I did like (ain't nothing finer than a pipeliner---troy's dad was a pipeliner) anyway, the cowgirls are going to win this won a Martin field goal.
SAINTS 23 cowgirls 24
CHICAGO (-6.5) @ RAMS
I reallly wanna pick the upset but rams are just to inconsistent , well rex is too but at least they have a defense and devin hester.
bears 21 RAMS 17
