So I had this bright idea to start posting my picks on the net since I was having a pretty good year. Obviously, this was not a good idea, as I had, BY FAR, my worst week of the year.
Let's start w/ College Football --- I started the day off well with PSU and Oklahoma covering to start me off 2-0 --- well then things took a turn for the worse as I went 1-7 for the rest of the day ----------- 3-7 Against the Spread --------- wow thats bad ---- 7-3 straight up --- so at least I was respectable in picking the winners with my only losses being USC, FSU and Washington.
Florida is shooting themselves by dominating the 1st half of games and then sitting on the lead---i don't like it and it hurt them against Auburn.
Since I had such a bad week I don't want to elaborate too much but I was happy to see USC and FSU and Miami lose
Bone to pick:
Why is PSU not ranked...yeah I'm a homer here but they have 3 loses #1 Ohio State #2 Michigan and #10 Notre Dame ----- they will be ranked after they beat Wisconsin this week
Michigan v. Florida for BCS championship
Florida 27 Michigan 24
thats all for now folks

NFL Week 8
(editor's note: I realize that my week 8 college picks are really week 9 but i will go 8-2 on the weekend so it really does not matter)
WEEK 8 PICKS --- THIS IS TOO EASY
These picks are in order as they are listed on sportsinteraction.com
picks are for entertainment purposes only --- bet at your own risk
Texans (+3) @ Titans
What a game to start with. I might as well flip a coin for this one.
Lundy v. Henry --- titans
Carr v. Young --- texans
Johnson v. Bennett -- texansTexans 21 Titans 17
Jaguars (+7) @ Eagles
Wow talk about a see-saw game... Jax lost to the Texans and Eagles lost to the Bucs.Although I believe that the bucs and texans are on their way up there is no excuse for either of these teams losing last week. Glad to see David Gerrard starting for the Jags ... but not gonna be enough
Eagles may be getting Stallworth back, who I think is a stud at receiver.
Jaguars 17 Eagles 27
Atlanta (+4) @ Bungals
Ocho Cinco ---haha --- I wish he was on my team (STEELERS) --- I hate most cocky players, but Chad Johnson, excuse me Ocho Cinco sure makes it fun.
by the way, what is all this talk about Mike Vick being a passer? Does he have an arm - of course its a cannon but he has no touch and not a good decision maker. 4 tds against the burgh -- well 1 was a freak catch by Jenkins and 2 were wide open passes to 6'10" alge crumpler....i'm not impressed
I hope I am wrong with this pick as the Steelers need all the help they can get.
Atlanta 20 Bengals 27
Bucs (+9) @ Giants
Giants looked good on Monday Night... but Bucs looked good on sunday or did they??? if it weren't for 2 defensive gift touchdown they would have been blown out....the Giants will do just that
Bucs 13 Giants 31
49ers (+16) @ Bears
Da Bears have an easy track to the playoffs this year and I love Grossman...but...Jerry Rice and the niners secure a special place in my football heart....
49ers 14 Bears 23
Cardinals (+4.5) @ Packers
Brett Favre is my fantasy QB so I love to root for the Pack this year... should he have retired yea probably and if I were the packers I would definately be playing Aaron Rodgers but the Pack is Back this week.
Cardinals 17 Packers 28
Seahawks (+6.5) @ Chiefs Band-Aid game of the week
apparently this game could come down to Senecca Wallace v. Brodie Croyle as Huard did not practice today and is doubtful for sunday. I am going to make my pick based on Huard playing.
Becuase Senecca Wallace was not that good in college, I'm thinking the Chiefs will continue to play well and win again this week. Lets Go LJ.
Seahawks 10 Chiefs 13
Baltimore (+2.5) @ Saints
Da Saints at HOME...you can't pick against them... too much Karma
And as a new Baltimore resident I have came to H-A-T-E the Ravens and by the way McNair is OLD.
Ravens 16 Saints 24 (Matt Stover Fantasy Player of the Week)
Rams (+9.5) @ Chargers
For whatever reason I like watching the Rams, great offensive terrible defensive makes for a good game to watch.
Tory Holt is the best WR in the game, sorry point23 and ocho cinco
Rams 23 Chargers 24
Steelers (-9) @ Oakland
DA RAIDAZ .. glad they are on my teams schedule
By the way, does anyone else think that Big Ben should take a week off and gather his thoughts. He is young no need to play this game. Batch is doing fine...rest up
Steelers 30 Raiders 10
J-E-T-S (+2) @ Browns
Another coin flip.... Both teams are better than what people think but Charlier Frye is too inconsistant for me to pick them. J-E-T-S
Jets 20 Browns 13
Colts (+3) @ Broncos GAME OF THE WEEK
What a game I never pick against the colts...never... until this week
But ....to be honest with you i'm not sure who I am going to take in my pick'em league but as of now I see the Broncos pulling off a big win at home in the cold miserable weather of Denver
Colts 20 Broncos 23 (PUSH)
Cowgirls (+5.5) @ Panthers
The only good thing about the Cowboys QB his ribs... and I think they will be well done after the Panthers defense gets a chance to play against the pee wee football line of the Cowgirls..
Boy I love picking against America's Favorite Team to Hate
Cowgirls 17 Panthers 28
Patriots (-2.5) @ Vikings
The vikings are playing well this year doing nothing special but enough to win...not going to happen on monday night.... the pats are just too tough and I have a feeling Brady to Jackson is going to be happening a lot more as the year goes on.
Pats 28 vikings 17
comments are welcome --- good luck to you
honestly though Wallace v. Croyle --- wow

NCAA week 9
WEEK 9
You can't start a Freshman QB against Florida and win
Florida 30 Georgia 13
G Dumb's State
Minnesota (+27.5) @ Ohio State
I picked out the ten games I will be most interested in this week and predicted the scores along w/ who will cover the spread.........I'm hoping to be at least 60% on my picks so we shall see
I hate picking road teams but after looking at my picks this week--it seems to be a trend
(the picks are in order from my best to my not so best)
Bet the House and Your Savings Account:
USC (-11) @ Oregon State
The best way to protect yourself from a beaver is to use a trojan
so why not take the Trojans over the Beavers.........they both have been playing close games as of late but Boise State and Cal combined to beat Org St 83 to 27 and I think USC is due to have a huge offensive game after their last few nail biters.
usc 42 oregon st 20
I hate to do this one.....
Tennessee (-3) @ South Carolina
My favorite college coach - Steve Spurrier (nic pic eh)

My favorite college coach - Steve Spurrier (nic pic eh)
My least favorite - Philip Fullmer ....but....
I don't see the Gamecocks being able to handle smoky the dog....yeah they always have close games and I think this one will be close for awhile but Erik Ainge is playing too well this year and the Vols, who I believe is a top 5 team will be too much for the cocks
Tennesse 30 South Carolina 17
Hometown Special
Penn State (-3) @ Purdue
Penn State has pissed me off this year.
Plus at any moment anyone of their quarterbacks could fall to a concussion (Big Ben Syndrome)...anywya....their kicking game is absolutely terrible so anytime I take PSU I get nervous as hell but I'm taking them and I like them a lot this weekend....
Penn State 27 Purdue 16
OOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Oklahoma (+2) @ Missouri
No way Mizzou is better than the Sooners-- or are they?
The Sooners are going to be without AP (no not the press)...Adrien Peterson... but the Sooner Defense will be too much for the Tigers... plus I refuse to believe that Missouri is that good
Oklahoma 27 Missouri 20
The Cocktail Party
Georgia (+14) v. Florida
GO GATORS!!!! --- obviously I am biased with this pick and believe that Florida got ripped off against Auburn... but I gotta ask why Urban 'myth" Meyer did not put Tim Tebow in for more play the kid is gonna win a heisman and you gotta love his demeanor
Tebow will have at least 2 TDS this game

You can't start a Freshman QB against Florida and win
Florida 30 Georgia 13
G Dumb's State
Texas (-10.5) @ Texas Tech
Tech has gotten their asses handed to them by Colorado and Missouri and looked pathetic against a not so great TCU (thanks fot LT) team....
Texas lost to Ohio State and should have lost to Nebraska
What does all of this mean? I don't know
Texas 38 Texas Tech 21
You might see me in the Stands
Florida State (-4.5) @ Maryland
Right now I have 2 tickets to this game but not sure if I am going to go yet... 1. there are a lot of good parties this saturday night down here and 2. I don't like either team, in fact I hate Florida State
So happy FSU is playing poorly this year...when Bowden leaves I will not be a sad man
MD has played better than I thought this year but they beat only one respectable team N.C. State.......FSU --- has a ton of talent and I think they might actually put together a decent game, but I hope that I am wrong
Florida State 30 Maryland 20
Why I picked this game? I guess I got a feeling
Minnesota (+27.5) @ Ohio State
Ohio State does not score a lot of points I think they have only gone over 35 points only once this year...
Minnesota is not that good but thery aren't that bad either... I like the points especially if it goes higher by saturday
Minnesota 20 Ohio State 38
The Thugs
Miami (+6) @ Georgia Tech
Miami (+6) @ Georgia Tech
I really hate Miami ... how the hell can you get away with attempted murder during a game and not even get in trouble.... unbelievable
Also, why is the GT offensive cord. not fired yet???????? They threw to the best player in the ncaa once??????......unbelievable
miami convicts 20 Georgia Tech 21
Why am I picking this game b/c I am undefeated w/ Washington in NCAA
Arizona St (-1.5) @ Washington

Arizona St (-1.5) @ Washington
My head tells me to go w/ AZ St. since UDUB lost their QB for the year but I need to pick at leat one home team
AZ St. 28 Washington 34
