REMATCH ? maybe

THERE IS NO REASON FOR A RE-MATCH

The score was 42-39. This game was supposed to be a match-up of 2 tough defenses. They didn't get the memo, as it was score after score.

Michigan had zero turnovers and Ohio State had 3 and yet Ohio State still won, winning the Big Ten and an automatic birth to the BCS game.

In my opinion a 1-loss Florida, Arkansas or USC deserves their shot at Ohio State before Michigan get another crack.

Why USC?

They have lost only once all year and that was to Oregon State. As of late they have been dominate. They beat Nebraska, possible Big 12 champ, killed Arkansas, possible SEC Champ, and other notable foes. Plus they still have a games against Notre Dame and UCLA.

Not USC!

They lost to Oregon State, out of all the 1 loss teams USC is the only team to get beat by a team not ranked in the top 20. Plus they had numerous close calls against lower Pac 10 teams, Arizona, Wash, Wash St. Furthermore, aren't you tired of seeing USC going for the title?

Why Arkansas?

They are the possible SEC champs, which is far and above the toughest conference from top to bottom this year. Their only loss to date was in their first game of the year. They are the "cinderalla team" this year in the NCAA coming out of nowhere to be in the top 5.

Not Arkansas!

They have only beat 2 ranked teams all year, Tennessee and Auburn, but they have a chance to beat two top 10 teams to end the year LSU and Florida. They got pounded by USC 50-14, do we really want a team that lost by 36 playing for the title?

Why Notre Dame?

Notre Dame fans are everywhere and every game is on tv and it would boost tv ratings. They only have one loss and that was a turnover ridden game against Michigan. They have a chance to show how good they are agianst USC at the Coliseum this saturday.

Not Notre Dame!

They got hammered at their own field 47-21 (again a 26 point loss in the final game?) Notre Dame only beat 1 team currently ranked in the top 25, Georgia Tech. And out of all the 1 loss teams in contention they have by far the worst defense.

Why Florida?

Possible SEC champs (toughest division this year). Florida has a charismatic Freshman in Tim Tebow that could possibley be an "x-factor" in the BCS game and have a wide fan base boosting tv ratings. Their only loss is to Auburn which involved a controversial call as Florida was drving for the win.

Not Florida!

Florida only has 2 wins over top 25 teams, but they still have Florida State and Arkansas. Florida has played some close games which voters are used to the fun and gun thrashings (which hurts them in the polls) but have given up only 12 touchdowns all year.

MY SOLUTION

ARKANSAS - their only way in is to beat LSU, Florida and have Notre Dame beat USC

Notre Dame - not gettting in, if they beat USC, Michigan or Florida or Arkansas will get in over them mainly because ND can't jump over Michigan because they got pounded by them.

Michigan - may get in no matter what but they are hoping for USC and Florida losses.

USC - beat Notre Dame and UCLA, hope for a Florida loss but may get in w/o a Florida loss

Florida - beat FSU / Arkansas (by 17 or more), hope USC losses or looks bad winning.

I think that if USC or FLORIDA or ARKANSAS wins out they should jump MICHIGAN, if all 3 lose then I am ok with a rematch.

I think the best matchup would be OHIO STATE V. FLORIDA. Florida has all kinds of speed on defense and would make a good match up for T. Smith. Ohio State D is better than Florida's O but as I said Tebow could be an "x-factor."

Either way I say we need a Playoff System.

IMAGINE

1. Ohio State
8. Boise State 1. Ohio State 38 - 17

4. USC
5. Notre Dame 5. Notre Dame 28 - 24 1. Ohio State 24 - 21

3. Florida
6. Arkansas 3. Florida 20-14 3. Florida 28 - 27

2. Michigan
7. West Virginia 7. WVU 31-27 3. Florida 27 - 17

I can see it now ----- yummy
